J. Mendoza Gardens was asked to redesign an extensive lawn area at the rear of the property and an existing perennial garden close to the house. To compliment mature specimen trees and their shadow patterns throughout the property, additional trees were planted in the rear lawn and a 200 ft. long mixed border was added for additional visual interest. A large, old Taxus hedge surrounding a rose garden was clipped and reshaped to provide a dramatic architectural counterpoint to a new patio with a zig-zag Ilex hedge facing a pool.
